We are incredibly excited to announce the second of this year’s LegionsCon show figures. This one is something very special – the first ever Mythic Legions / Cosmic Legions crossover 2-pack – Wal-torr the Mad! This is the DAY 2 figure for the event – available only on Sunday, November 12th!
This special set is a tribute to longtime friend of the studio and one of our our biggest supporters, our “Chief Brand Ambassador” Walter “the Madman” Hagen! Walter created the Mythic Legions Cabal years ago, building the most positive and welcoming toy community anywhere. To recognize how much Walter’s passion has meant to us over the years, we knew we needed to do something extra special to honor him – so the first ever release to encompass the worlds of both Mythoss and Cosmerrium seemed like the perfect solution. Of course, Wal-torr doesn’t go anywhere without his Cabal swag, so he is waving his banner in figure form as well! Here is what you need to know about this set:
The ”Wal-torr the Mad” 2-pack set will be sold on the Sunday at LegionsCon 2023! If any are available after the show, a very small number will also be sold online. Here is the bio on this character:
Across the entire Realm, a call goes out to gather like-minded warriors under a single banner – a Cabal! Leading this group in a tireless quest to assemble the Legionnaires is the one they call Wal-torr the Mad. Once a humble gardener, Wal-torr found new purpose in his fight to unite the Realm. Nothing would stand in his way, and not even death could prevent him from moving forward with his mission. When the cold grip of the grave finally came for Wal-torr, he shrugged it off and rose from where he had been laid. As long as he had a semblance of life in his bones, Wal-torr would walk the Realm waving his Cabal banner and gathering more warriors by his side…
But Wal-torr’s story does not end there, for there are worlds beyond what we have thus far known. A new Universe was discovered, and so the call of the Cabal went out across time and space. Now Wal-torr pilots his starship across the Rings of Cosmerrium, an undead ambassador with an army at his call, each member of this force united in their anthem – CABAL ABOVE ALL!
As you can see in this bio, Wal-torr is here to spread the word on the Cabal, and the “Mythic” figure will allow you to do just that! He is outfitted to travel the Realm with his sack of goodies, fur cloak , weapons, his drinking gourd, and banner – these last two which are emblazoned with the Mythic Legions Cabal logo! He also comes with a pair of heads, including a head that looks like he may have decided to “borrow” a hat from one of the Children of Necronominus! The show version of this figure will also come with a fun extra – a soft goods CABAL t-shirt that fits onto the figure! That shirt will ONLY be available in the LegionsCon 2-pack.
The ”Cosmic” version of Wal-torr is equally as awesome. Clad in an orange suit of T.U.5.C.C. armor, he comes with a skull head, a T.U.5.C.C. helmet to match the armor, and a removable clear dome. The show version of this figure in the 2-pack will also include bone-colored version of the “Relic of the Lost Khronnen” skull! This skull was previously seen as a special item in the first Cosmic Legions wave, but here it is painted to match Legions skeletons in a very cool bone deco! That Khronnen skull is ONLY available in the LegionsCon 2-pack version! This figure also comes with extra hands and weapons, including a shield with a Cosmic version of the Cabal logo on it!
These two figures will be presented together in one 2-pack set for sale at LegionsCon 2023. In addition to the bonus items mentioned above which will only be available in this set, the show version will also include character-specific art done especially for this limited release.
As we have done in past years, we will also release “standard” versions of both of these figures on StoreHorsemen sometime next year. The standard versions will be boxed individually and the show bonus items (Cabal t-shirt and Khronnen skull) will not be included in those releases.
The Wal-torr the Mad figure joins our previously revealed Vorgus Vermillius 2 as this year’s LegionsCon show figure sets!
