News Update
On the morning of Saturday, December 3rd, Four Horsemen Studios once again surprised fans with the drop of a brand-new figure in their popular Figura Obscura line – Father Christmas!
The third character released for this line (Krampus was dropped last holiday season, and the Headless Horsemen was available this year in early October), Father Christmas follows the same pattern as those previous releases. His availability was teased a day early with a cryptic message sent to those subscribed to the company’s email newsletter, followed by a drop of the item that next morning.
Like all Figura Obscura figures, Father Christmas comes in deluxe packaging featuring brand new artwork from Nate Baertsch, including a magnetic front panel that comes off to reveal the figure and also act as a backdrop for the piece. The figure itself features the same articulation, paint applications, and sculptural details the studio is known for from their “Legions” figures, and Father Christmas also includes premium soft goods robes prototyped by the team at CJESIM. In addition to those stunningly tailored robes, Father Christmas includes 2 new head sculptures, many new accessories, an even some surprises tucked away in his sack of presents!
The Figura Obscura: Father Christmas figure is exclusive to the company’s StoreHorsemen.com website and he is available for $60. In addition to the figure, the company has also released a variety of items with this same theme, including mugs, pins, and greeting cards, and their official apparel partners, RetroRagsLimited, is offering t-shirts with this festive new design.
The Figure Obscura: Father Christmas figure is an in-stock item, which means quantities are limited and the item will sell out! The company debuted the offerings at 9am EST on their website and will follow up with a second sale drop later that same day (Saturday, December 3rd) at 8pm EST. Orders for this new figure and the related items will begin shipping within a week of the sale date.
